Description

Summary: 1 body sherd of Windmill Hill ware in a fine fabric with sparse white inclusions up to 1mm in length, with a smooth mid brown interior and a smooth undecorated mid brown exterior, found in stone hole 50 between main portals, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
