Description

Summary: 1 English peasant pottery jug, brown smooth terracotta body, hand thrown, bright green slip to rim and top of handle covered by glossy lead glaze inside and to upper outer body, flared rim with pinched lip, strap handle and flat base, manufacturer not known, 1900s (?), acquired from the McLaren Foundation, Clouds Estate, East Knoyle, Salisbury, Wiltshire, 2005.
