J/F Skurray - notes on J S's 'Bidcombe Hill' and early settlements near the heads of rivers Wylye, Frome and Stour, Blye Hill, British stronghold, view across the Severn, tumulus and pedestal possibly of religious significance, Bradley long knoll, coins found nearby, Scratchbury camp, pottery etc., beads in barrows, Battlesbury camp, pottery etc. Suggests that RCH's 'love of the fine arts and encouragement to artists and his labours to give a history of the antiquities of the County should be noticed.'
