Description

Summary: 2 colour postcards relating to the Swindon Works, Swindon, Wiltshire. 1 - "Royal Arms". Cast in brass in the locomotive department, Swindon Works, May 1897. Used on the engine of the royal train on journeys between Paddington and Windsor, Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee 1897. 2 - "Broad Gauge", Daniel Gooch's eight foot single "Tartar" built at Swindon c.1848.
