Description

Summary: An Early Medieval silver Saint Eadmund memorial penny, dating to c. AD 895-910. Minted in East Anglia by Ansinger. North (1994: 108) no. 483. Coin of the Viking invaders 9th-10th centuries. OBVERSE: Chevron barred A with pellet above. SC EADMVNI. REVERSE: Cross pattee. ANSIER MON. Found in Alton, 2018.
