Summary: notes on fires in Marlborough especially the great fire of 1653, with an index to the Borough Survey Book of 1547, the 1650 Rental and the 1662 Hearth Tax, details of losses in the fire of 1653, photocopies of documents, extracts from William Thynne's Rent Roll (c.)1584, a copy of "Take Heed in Time" of 1653, and colour photographs and newscuttings of recent fires
