Description

Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context H8, the fill of a partially excavated pit, contianing 3 sherds of romano-british pottery, including two fitting sherds from the base of a jar.

Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context H8, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Context H8 was part of the fill of a partially excavated pit, and contained 3 sherds of romano-british pottery, including two fitting sherds from the base of a jar.
