awl

Description

Summary: 1 Roman awl, circular in cross-section, tapering to a point at one end and flat at the other, suggesting misidentification as an awl and is possibly an ear scoop, from the Iron Age settlement at Casterley Camp, Upavon, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr and Mrs B H Cunnington, 1909-1910.
