Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 1 abraded sherd of beaker pottery, orange brown exterior, traces of comb impression, from the mound at about 9 inch depth, from round barrow G61, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
