Summary: 'The Wheelwright's Shop' by E.G.H. Kempson, reprinted from The Wiltshire and Natural History Magazine, Vol. lvi, pp. 62-65, with accompanying notes and a typed copy of an extract from an Account Book of a Wheelwright, William Gaze from near Salcombe, Devon c.1764-1790; An invoice from 1730 ' Mr Blake, his Bill', for work carried out between January and June 1730 (reproduced in the article); An invoice from 1764, 'Work done at Mr Walt Gilmore's House' by J.Smith for work carried out between February and March 1764; An account c.18th century 'The Account of the Moades flotted', invoicing for the floating of the meadows from Hillmead Head to Rackmead Head; Letter dated 1956, offering confirmation of terminology used in the forestry management and farming and a typed list of terms for equipment used at Prosperous farm near Shalbourne and Chilton farm and Knighton farm at Ramsbury.
