Description

Summary: 1 Iron Age, La Tene type I, fibula, iron brooch. Coil of iron at the head and curved bow, loop end has half remaining. Pin end from this brooch broken off but within the box. Found in Pit 37 at the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
