Description

Summary: A fragment from the handle of a medieval shellyware vessel dating to c AD 1200-1300. The fragment comprises the lower end and attached body from a broad strap handle possibly from a pitcher. There are finger impressions on the inside of the vessel where the handle was pressed on. Found at Roundway, Devizes, in 2015
