Description
Identification note: an image from the Kearley Collection of glass plate negatives, dating from the late 19th/early 20th century. photographer unknown, part of collection found in the cellar of the Wiltshire Gazette office in Market Place, Devizes in 1968.
Summary: collodion wet plate glass photographic negative and modern inkjet print thereof of Hartmoor Road, Devizes, close to junction with Hillworth Road; house on right is Moorlands Lodge, the entrance lodge to The Moorlands which has now been demolished and replaced by a cul-de-sac of bungalows, two people walking on footpath next to road, 19th century.
