Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 2 body sherds of beaker ware, medium hard granular fabric with grog inclusions, brown / buff interior and exterior, orange / buff core, from the mound, from round barrow G62, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
