Summary: Correspondence between Walter Chebatoris, an American military officer based at Le Marchant Barracks at Devizes during World War II at the time of an attempted escape by German POW's and Mr Roderick de Norman a local author; A copy of a newspaper cutting, recalling the breakout of German POW's from Devizes prison.
