Description

Identification note: Classified as Type 6.7 (handles) in Smith

Identification note: label inside bag says "790109 Mus. no. 6g.234"

Summary: 11 handles, ten of bone and one of antler, one with iron tang still in place and one with rivet hole, most polished, from the Iron Age period, from All Cannings Cross Farm, All Cannings, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr B H Cunnington and Mrs M E Cunnington, 1911-22.
