Description

Summary: Avebury. Two cards showing 2 large stones with other stones and houses in the background. The first card shows the stones and houses partly obscured by trees, while the trees shown on the second card are leafless. The first card wa published by E. Dudley Perry, Private Hotel and Resaurant, Avebury, and has a printed annotation on the back:-' Avebury. Stone remains...in the foreground are the entrance stones to the Kennet Avenue'. The second card is a photocopy, and describes the stones as 'Druidical Remains of a Temple'. Both cards probably early twentieth century.
