Description

Identification note: Part of a collection of items donated to the Museum by local historian, John Girvan. The items were salvaged from various properties in Devizes as the buildings closed or fell into disuse.

Summary: Objects collected from the site of Devizes Prison (i) lead gasket from a water pump, part of a hard labour machine (ii)unidentified object, wooden baton with peg holes (iii) iron object, possible lock in a treadwheel.
