Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: Part of a stone axe found in the corner of the Neolithic pit, stone dark and shiney compared with examples from the north of England, from round barrow G61, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
