Description

Summary: Oval sheet of thin copper alloy with a small rectangular split. Similar objects have been described as knife guards and would have fitted over the end of the knife handle at the blade junction, found during an archaeological excavation at Abbey House, Bradford-on-Avon, by Foundations Archaeology.
