Description

Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context G6, material from the fill of a large ditch. The assemblage contains 4 early iron age sherds and 5 Romano-British sherds.

Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context G6, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. The material comes from the fill of a large ditch, which cut across much of the site, and contains both early Iron Age and Romano-British sherds.
