Notes: not in orginal accession register but marked on object

Summary: copper fireplate issued by the Liverpool & Globe Insurance Company, an amalgamation of three companies, it began in 1836 as the Liverpool Fire Office, ten years later it absorbed the London, Edinburgh and Dublin Insurance Company, and in 1864 it took over the Globe Insurance Company, provenance unknown.
