Description

Summary: 1 metal part of the handle of a scalpel with 3 remaining rivels and part of the blade, in a rusty and flaking condition with the corrosion laminating, found on the surface of the chalk rubble beneath the outer end of stone 50A, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
