Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 2 body sherds and 1 rim sherd, from 3 vessels, rim sherd hard fabric dark brown with flint inclusions with rounded rim, body sherds abraded one beaker and one Late Bronze Age base, found in the mound, from round barrow G62, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
