Description

Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context I1, associated with the disturbed remains of a neonate burial, but not recorded on context sheet.

Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context I1, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Context I1 contained the disturbed remains of a neonate burial, along with these three extremely fragmentary vessel sherds.
