Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 3 body sherds from ? 3 vessels. One dark hard and granular, one abraded sherd with soft granular sand inclusions and one possible Peterborough ware with holes, all from Pit 5, from round barrow G62a, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
