Description

Summary: Either an extremely worn copper alloy halfpenny made in the 18th century or a class of counterfeit halfpenny known as a 'blank', which is a copy of a very worn halfpenny, from Ludgershall Castle, a Medieval royal castle and hunting lodge in East Wiltshire, excavated by Peter Addyman and Southampton University, 1964-72.
