neck ring

Description

Summary: 1 fragment (nearly half) of a copper alloy neck ring with a rounded cross section changing to a rectangular one. The drum shaped terminal is decorated by a band of dot in circle patterns between two engraved lines. The band has moulded ridges on the outer face, from Hanover, Germany found by Pastor J.C. Zimmerman in the 1750s, and purchased by Sir Richard Colt-Hoare for a reference collection.
