Content summary: No date: John Britton to William Cunnington- has not received the parcel and asks 'what conveyance it came by'. Asks how he should send him 'My Beauties of Wiltshire & the first number of The Beauties of England and Wales.' JB is just finishing the Preface ' that I fancy will create some consternation among the gentry of the County & afford a great deal of interest & amusement to some.' … 'I cannot include all my materials in two Volumes - & I shall prepare for a third.' \n'I have received a long letter from Sir Richard Hoare – wherein he says he hopes to persuade Mr Coxe to undertake a history of some part of the County – I hope no one person will undertake the task for reasons which you will see detailed in my preface 'includes a printed copy of the title page for 'The Beauties of Wiltshire' and a printed notice requesting any information which could be used in forthcoming volumes. He includes a list of detailed questions.\n
