Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 8 body sherds from a food vessel / collared urn, with finger nail impressions, soft granular fabric with grey inclusions, orange / buff exterior, dark core and interior, from round barrow G62, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
