Identification note: had been on loan to the V & A since 1931 and was returned to Devizes Museum in 1990

Summary: 1 early 16th century silver mounted maple wood mazer, sometimes referred to as the Bromham Mazer, found by William Cunnington III at Bromham, Wiltshire, in the 19th century and used as a sin-eating cup (see inscription)
