Description

Identification note: the map covers a large area of southern England from Stroud to Basingstoke, Winchester, Bournemouth, Bath, Bristol, Wells etc. No indication of who annotated the map or when. The OS base map is 1959.

Summary: ordnance survey one inch to the mile scale maps, sheets 156, 157, 158, 166, 167, 168 and 179, joined together and annotated to show Roman roads, Roman sites and some Iron Age sites, covers Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Berkshire.
