Description

Identification note: Part of a collection of items donated to the Museum by local historian, John Girvan. The items were salvaged from various properties in Devizes as the buildings closed or fell into disuse.

Summary: Cast iron housing for a stopcock, in two pieces. On the lid, D G W, Devizes Gas Works. Found at Lower Wharf, Devizes, formerly known as Gas House Lane.
