Description

Summary: 1 British Restuarant ticket machine. British Restuarants were communial kitchens set up during World War II to ensure that people and communities who had run out of rationing coupons were still able to eat. They were set up by the Ministry of Food. Meals were purchased for a maximum price of 9d. No-one could be served with a meal of more than one portion of meat, fish, eggs or cheese.
