handaxe

Description

Summary: Cordate hand-axe made from chert, supposedly from Knowle Farm, Little Bedwyn, Wiltshire. In 2016 geologists at Exeter University concluded that the axe probably comes from a Palaeolothic site at Broom on the Devon / Dorset border. It is likely that the axe was introcuded to Knowle Farm in modern times, to sell to collectors.
