Description

Summary: viking sword pommel, type IV, (London Museum Catalogue: London and the Vikings (1927) p.34) ie. flat and with 5 lobes, the 3 central lobes on each face decorated with interlace design, made of copper alloy (with high tin or lead content) with remains of iron pins at each side, found at Kingston Deverill, Wiltshire.
