Description

Summary: Roman silver finger-ring of Brancaster type, heavily worn. Unusually, the hoop tapers from the bezel to a narrow pooint at the back. The worn engraved image on the raised rectangular bezel shows two symmetrically-opposed birds with fruit / foliage. 4th century AD in date. Found in the Kennet area of Wiltshire.
