Content summary: (3 December 1804) : JB in London to WmC – encloses 'the 5th Vol of our Beautiesand will observe that our knowledge & execution of Topographical * Antiquarian subjects have progressively increased with our Vols.' also encloses the 2 first numbers of a new Atlas 'which I am preparing at great expenses.' Mr Leman has sent him details of the Roman roads, also 4 sheets of the large Wiltshire map and asks WmC to make additions & corrections. Mr Faden of Charing Cross 'the first map seller in Europe' is preparing to print a new edition of Andrews and Dury with corrections. Cary's map of the County is just published '& is extremely incorrect.'\nHas visited Silchester & asks is WmC made any notes whilst he was there. Mr Ingram has given him 'much useful memoranda' on Winchester Cathedral. Lord Radnor has been 'very kind and civil to me I have also met with a good friend in Mr. George Rose & have obtained much original material on Hampshire from Sir Richard Worseley, Lord Temple , Lord Botton and Lord Carnarvon …'\n'Among the greatest blessings of life I have been fortunate in uniting myself with a female partner who studies my happiness, and is constantly anxious to make my home the most engaging of all places.'\n\n

Summary: 3 December 1804: John Britton in London to William Cunnington- encloses 5th volume of Beauties of Wiltshire. Mr Leman has sent details of the Roman Roads and asks WmC to make additions and corrections. Visited Silchester and asks if WmC made any notes whilst he was there. Mr Ingram has made a memoranda on Winchester Cathedral.
