Description

Summary: 1 bag containing 1 large flatstone hammer stone marked as from hypocaust having an area of its cracked hammering circumference lost through usage and having red-stained flat surfaces from polishing or crushing activity, from the Iron Age and Romano-British settlement at Casterley Camp, Upavon, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr and Mrs B H Cunnington, 1909-1910.
