Description

Summary: An 11th century horse harness fitting consisting of 2 circular ends joined by a bar, flat on underside. Upper surface raised with remains of tin plating. Probably part of harness or bridle fittings. From the Iron Age settlement at Casterley Camp, Upavon, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr and Mrs B H Cunnington, 1909-1910.
