Content summary: 5 February 1806 : William Cunnington copy of a letter to Mr Lambert- Thanks himfor the books sent by Sir William A'Court. - General gossip of what is happening amongst who is in Town. He wanders amongst the quarries collecting fossil specimens found in the chalk where they are abundant. He interested some of the workmen who bring him specimens. ' A farmer brought me a hat full this morning – they consist chiefly of Anome Cornuamonis – fine specimens of small Echni of Considerable variety, some fine scallop shells &c. I also have among them one fine specimen of Cockscomb Oyster. Hopes to open a group of barrows near Stonehenge which Stukeley called 'the Prophet Barrows' on March 1st , weather permitting.
