Description

Summary: 1 piece of Iron Age bronze sheet with 3 complete rivet holes, all different diameters and 2 partial rivet holes. 1 punch mark, possibly for a further rivet hole. Edges have 2 parallel incised lines. Possibly part of a hoop decoration to a bucket or bowl. From Pit 45 at the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
