Description

Summary: 1 china plate with scalloped edge. On top centre is a picture of cupid showering roses froom a cornucopia, top left and right are scenes of Chinese figures, and at top and bottom are flower groups. On the verso is inscribed: ON ASH WEDNESDAY 1897/ GREAT TEMPEST. Will the Grant meek on whom an earnly his wealth has shower'd/ give to this Bishops Cannings Beggar, a Bit of his Earnly Gold;/ 'Tis wanted the TENOR BEW TO MEND which has there so often told; of Joy or of sorrow in that Earnley HOme, when they lived in their Bourton Hall. Will you in your ARK (?) this Beggars home be? If you answer, No, then send the Beggar! S ROD (?)/ at Bi Can?
