Description

Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context H12, the fill of a probable post-hole, containing 5 very fragmentary sherds of Iron Age pottery.

Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context H12, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Context H12 was part of the fill of a probable post-hole, and contained a small number of extremely fragmentary Iron Age sherds.
