Description

Summary: 1 ceramic replica of an Irish Mather or drinking cup in Dorset County Museum. The two handled drinking cup has transfer prints of Edward the Confessor and Devizes Castle on it. A verse printed on the cup reads: 'GOE NOT HALFE WAY TO MEETE A CUMING SOROWE BUTTE THANKFUL BEE FOR BLESSINGS OF TO-DAY AND PRAY THAT THOU MAYEST BLESSED BYE TO-MOROWE SO SHALT THOU GOE WITH JOY UPON THY WAY'.
