Summary: A copper alloy finger ring excavated from an Anglo-Saxon grave at Barrow Clump by Operation Nightingale, 2012-2014.

Research results

A copper alloy finger ring, found with the burial of a young woman of around 18-21 during excavations of an Early Medieval burial ground at Barrow Clump, excavated by Operation Nightingale, 2012-14. The ring is fashioned from a strip of copper alloy, and was found on a finger of the left hand near the pelvis.
