Description

Summary: 1 piece of cylindrical fossil coral ('Parasmilia' from the Upper Chalk) used as an ornament, with incised lines drawn round it at each end, and one side with a series of shallow grooves or notches cut into it, from the Iron Age period, from All Cannings Cross Farm, All Cannings, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr B H Cunnington and Mrs M E Cunnington, 1911-22.
