Research results

A Bronze Age v-perforated shale conical button, found with a primary cremation in Bell Barrow Wilsford G8, excavated by William Cunnington. The button originally served as the core for a gold cover, however the grooves seen on cover are precisely recreated on the core (or more likely vice versa), and the means by which this was done and the reason why is unclear.
