Description

Summary: 2 pieces of an Early Saxon gunmetal strap end, broken at top where it folds over, leaded on the surfaces, pierced at the lower end with 4 rivets holes, 1 has part of an iron rivet, found in association with an ivory purse ring, from the pagan Saxon cemetery called 'Black Patch' at Blacknall Field, Pewsey, Wiltshire, excavated by Ken Annable and the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, 1969-1976.
