Young Curators Club: Mid-Winter Celebrations: Yule and Saturnalia

Find out about the Mid-Winter Solstice celebrations at Stonehenge and Avebury and the ancient Roman festival of Saturnalia. Make decorations to take home.

Our Young Curators club is for 8-13 year olds and will take place on the second Saturday of each month (usually). Sessions are focused around our collections and exhibitions, and subjects we look at include archaeology, history, natural history and art. Take part in practical activities such as archaeological recording, experiments, art, and walks to local archaeological sites. There are also opportunities to visit or take part in local archaeological digs taking place.

There’s no annual fee and new members are always welcome.
